In reading yesterday's post, specifically the passage in which I take the self-congratulatory tone in writing "'Their gain is our loss.' True," I realized that I may have come off a bit like an ass.
That was about the last thing I intended. The point I was trying to get across is that I really love Saratoga, my friends, and the community that I'm a part of there. If the community is losing anything when I leave, I'm losing even more in leaving.
That said, after spending most of today exploring the Allentown area and looking at some apartments, I am looking forward to moving into a new place and starting my next position.
That's all.
Now, after a day of trotting around the Lehigh Valley, I've got a lot of emails to catch up on, so I'm going to end this post ... now.

Nothing wrong with stating the truth. Their gain IS our loss. The heartiest of congratulations to you. Kelly Bedford told me about your personal victory and they could not have made a better choice to get someone who truly cares about cycling. I don't think you sounded like an ass at all! . . . Dave
