Internet blackout continues

As you'll recall, I have not had internet at home since the end of December, as such, I've been rushing to get online work done in the scant hours between the finishing of my many daily tasks and the closing of Uncommon Grounds.

For the most part, I've been successful at getting everything done, getting to Uncommon at a reasonable hour, writing emails, facebooking, and blogging.

Not tonight.

Tonight, I had more than the usual volume of mail to respond to, and as such I am only now getting to my blog -- five minutes before the coffee shop closes. My apologies for the shitty post that is resulting from the time constraint.

In other news, it appears that I am close to finalizing an agreement with a new room mate. Perhaps the new resident at 106 Caroline will be more amenable to splitting an Internet bill, thus ending this post-work conundrum.

Finally, I wanted to mention that I did receive, of the weekend, a bottle of commemorative Tour of the Battenkill Valley chocolate milk -- or is it chocolate milk in a commemorative Tour of the Battenkill Valley bottle? Either way, as promised after I missed getting a bottle at a ToBV press conference in March, Christine Hoffer, who is managing publicity for the race, kept a bottle cold for me, and it was delicious. The milk comes from the Battenkill Valley Creamery, which is on the ToBV course in the town of Salem.

If you get the chance, the sweet refreshment is well worth the price of admission. Thanks Christine!

... not bad for five minutes of blogging, eh?
