Thursday Top and Bottom Five

Remember when we used to do these every week? I'm going to continue doing my memory lane blog posts, but it's going to take me a little while until I get settled in my new routine. In the mean time, please forgive me if things are a little spotty as I continue to get settled. In the mean time, enjoy this top and bottom list:

Tops from the week:
1) The Saratogian's newest city reporter. Yep, gonna keep using that one.
2) 43 Second Street. The ceilings are low, but there are plenty of happy spaces for Becky and I!
3) Being back in Saratoga and spending time with friends.
4) The New York City marathon, and the men and women who do it on wheelchairs.
5) Week one's wardrobe! You should have seen me this week...

Bottoms from the week:
1) Riding in the cold. There's nothing like loosing feeling in fingers and toes on every ride.
2) No phone, no email... what's a city reporter supposed to do?
3) The landlady who lets her tenants into an apartment full of her old crap.
4) The rising price of oil. It's a good thing I can ride to work.
5) No room for extra bikes inside, means the fixxie is on the porch. Poor fixxie.

what's the dress code at a city paper? my wardrobe has generally be one of "shlumpy intern", is there a big jump from that to "full-time employee"?

also, don't worry about phone/email stuff, they will work that out with time. this comes with every job and they certainly do appreciate new employees. congrats again!
